Our Creative Movement I class for 2.5 to 3.5 year old students is a great introduction to the world of dance. Ballet, Jazz and modern fundamentals are introduced along with stage orientation and dance class etiquette. Children practice locomotor skills and listening skills as they exercise their young minds and bodies. Changing monthly themed classes keep children engaged and interested in learning class after class.
Creative Movement II for 3.5 - 4.5 year old dancers builds upon the movement concepts introduced in Creative Movement I. This class allows the dancers to further explore the space and encourages them to create their own dance stories. Creative Movement II prepares dancers to make the transition to Pre-Ballet, tap or hip hop classes.

Pre-Ballet is the dancers first true exposure to beautiful world of ballet. Students will learn how to dance at the barre, in the center and how to move individually and as a group across the floor. Foundations for the execution of proper dance technique begin in Pre-ballet and continue throughout our dance program. Potential students should be at least 4 years of age and express an interest in ballet.
All the Right Steps Family Dance Center is very proud of our Ballet program. We run a structured program which stays true to the fundamentals and history of Russian ballet. Please take this into consideration before beginning our dance program. Our Creative Movement program is a wonderful introduction to dance where our younger students learn not only how to dance, but also learn dance class ettiquite which becomes very important as they grow and advance through our program. Please call and ask to speak with our director, Satrina Villasenor if you have any questions or concerns.
The Ballet program begins at 7 years of age. We practice a blend of ballet styles including Vaganova to produce a technically sound dancer while leaving room for our students to express their personal creativity. In addition to their dance studies, students learn and use ballet terminology and vocabulary during class.
Ballet IA is for new ballet students, recreational ballet dancers, and students moving from Pre-Ballet into Ballet. The class meets once a week.
Ballet IB is for ballet students who can confidently perform the basics of ballet and are physically and mentally ready for more challenging ballet work.
Ballet II is for students who have a basic working knowledge of ballet at the beginning level. In ballet II, we expand upon lessons learned in ballet IA and ballet IB. Ballet II students are required to attend class twice a week. Teacher placement is required. If your child is a transferring student, please see the Director to insure proper class placement.
Teen Ballet is just what the local dance scene needed! This class if for beginning dancers ages 12 & up and for our Ballet II dancers who are looking for a challenge. Ballet uniform is required but we let our teens listen to a wide variety of music in this class as we stray just a bit from the traditional ballet class.
Adult Ballet is offered on a drop in basis. Please call the studio prior to attending any adult class to make sure class is in session. Adults pay no registration fee, and the fee for the 1 hour class is $10 per session. The class consists of a traditional classical ballet barre followed by a cardio pumping contemporary center and choreography session. It is recommended that students have prior knowledge of dance but it is not required. Bring a great attitude and a smile and try your first class for free!
Our Jazz program much like our ballet program stresses proper technique and execution of movements while leaving room for the dance student to be creative. Due to the difficulty of this dance style, we recommend that Jazz students have Ballet experience (concurrent or prior) but we do not require the dancer to enroll in Ballet. Jazz I meets once a week, minimum age requirement is 7.
Jazz II is a continuation of Jazz I and open to new teenage dancers as well. Students are introduced to new choreography each week and are expected to retain the choreography until their next class. Turn combinations are explored and refined as are progressions across the floor. Students are encouraged to attend two classes a week adding performance group, hip hop or ballet to their schedule. ~ JAZZ II IS ON BREAK UNTIL THE 2012 - 2013 SEASON ~

Boys Dance is a hip hop class for boys only ages 4 and up. This class not only covers hip hop basics much like the Hip Hop Prep class, but we also sneak in a bit of ballet and tap basics during the month with guest teachers. This boys only class allows the boys to be boys with exercises and strength building moves such as mountain climbers and bear crawls. This class may be a little louder then most of our classes but rest assured the boys are moving and learning in an atmosphere comfortable for them.
Mini Hip Hop is for dancers ages 5 - 8 and is an introductory hip hop class.
